Very good experience doing colour analysis here at Code.d! Alethea was very friendly and patient throughout, giving good advice on colours for clothing, accessories, hair and makeup. Even went the extra mile for what I need! Post session, Alethea also provided a nice hardcopy summary of our results and an exclusive online resources she has put tgt so that we can refer to them when shopping. Studio is nice and clean as well, a very comfortable space to be in. Would recommend!!

I’ve had multiple different colour analysis results in the past from different companies, so I was aware that I might be tricky to assess—but Alethea was able to pinpoint several key aspects of my colouring that many analysts tend to overlook.

She correctly identified that I have a warm undertone, though my overall colour analysis results lean more neutral. One thing she got spot on was that brightness/vividness of colour matter more for me than temperature alone, which is something many other analysts tend to get stuck on. She also gave useful insights on makeup—for example, how cool or pink-based foundations don’t suit me even though some may assume I have a pink undertone at first glance.

Honestly I left feeling a bit dubious- I feel my aesthetic/style is pretty decent, so how can my own thoughts of colours that suit me be so off? I got to say to give it a chance. Alethea was incredibly helpful, even post consultation! She encouraged me to consider these colours as more items that will suit me and to be honest- she was right. Once I gave the suitable make up/ clothes colours a go, I was amazed to see my eyes look instantly brighter and my complexion clear up! I would have never thought pink blush would suit me (a generally not pink person) but there you go 🤭 Alethea also went out of her way to swatch a brands colours at Sephora when I double checked if some of their colours would work on me :') very thankful, and excited to direct more ppl to explore her work!

Had a very enjoyable and productive session, it was great to find out more about the colors that suit me. It was also not fully what I expected which shows you how useful this is, we can only see ourselves from one perspective whereas people around us pick up on different things. I can’t wait to implement all the knowledge now to look better. I really loved that Alethea explained in detail all recommendations and listened to what I like too. It is also super helpful to do the makeup and clothes review because these are the things you’ll be working with. Recommend to everyone who wants to feel more confident!

I liked how hands on it was where she would ask me what I thought and then explain to me why I was either right or “wrong” so that I could understand what she was seeing. I had an amazing time with Alethea during my makeup class! She is incredibly understanding, knowledgeable, and thoughtful — going above and beyond to customise the session for me based on my comfort level with makeup, my skin type, and the look I was aiming for.

The class is definitely worth its value, covering seasonal colour analysis, skin and makeup analysis, and a hands-on session to create a glam look. As someone not very experienced with makeup, I really appreciated how she structured everything with clear explanations and demos on why certain techniques or products work (or don’t).

Professional, informative, friendly and fun! I finally have answers. If you've been trying to figure out your colour analysis for over a year and still can't figure it out (yeah, that was me), then coded.d is the solution.

I had the best time with Jia Wen and understood everything better. "Evens out skin tone", "looks healthier", "cohesive" -- you'll see all these words when you're reading online, but true understanding and experience started in the studio, because I could see it.

You get the chance to make your own decision first, with the drapes and palettes, and then she explains what she's looking at and for. At different points of the appointment, she pointed out when a certain colour increases brightness or shadows, when to look at blemishes and under eye circles, and when to look at the face as a whole.

I got/saw:
-- my top four palettes ranked in order, including what colours within the palette worked best and what to avoid,
-- what whites, greys and metallics lit me up or turned me weird,
-- what hair colours would work and what would look like a wig,
-- what makeup colours would blend and what clashed.

Turns out my clothing palette and my makeup palette are different. I would have thought it was "wrong" but I actually saw it with my own eyes. She let me try on lip and foundation colours that finally felt like me and gave me suggestions because makeup changes when applied.

We were matching energy and laughing throughout, and she thoughtfully gave me time to snap photos of the drapes and palettes that worked best on me.

When I left, I had:
-- clarity on what to look for and when,
-- information on what works and what doesn't,
-- photos that I took,
-- a report of my results,
-- name card-sized palettes, and
-- no doubts about the seasons I align with.

There is no rush, the atmosphere is great, and the information is top-notch. Definitely highly recommended, book your session!

Really enjoyed my Signature Color Analysis experience and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a colour analysis in Singapore!

Jiawen was so friendly and bubbly and made me feel completely at ease the entire time.

She gave feedback in gentle tactful manner and was very patient and earnest in answering all my questions. What I found most helpful were the bite-sized tips/advise she gave on what I should focus on e.g “brown over pink” for makeup.

Jia Wen was also able to break down what each term like “dark” and “deep” means in an easily understandable way that really deepened by understanding of how colours work and can really help me in discerning what colours to buy in future.

Please choose code.d because they really care - so much about people that don’t fall within the 4 seasons (like me) that they came up with a whole new neutral category and even added a new jewellery shade for us! 🥹
