Turning Passion into a Career - Fashion Media to Image Consultancy

Coco Chanel once said, “The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you”.

Stepping into the world of colour analysis isn’t just a new chapter—it’s a calling. I’ve always been fascinated by the transformative power of colours and styles, instinctively knowing what enhances a person’s presence. Having this opportunity to hone my skills with code.d has taken my understanding to new heights, sharpening my eye for detail and strengthening my confidence in every choice I make.

With a background in Fashion Media Studies, I’ve always had a keen eye for trends—constantly experimenting with colours and styles to see what works best. Through trial and error, I gained a deeper understanding of what truly complements me. My passion for visual storytelling led me to take on roles as a creative and art director, as well as a stylist for my final-year project, where I brought bold ideas to life and pushed the boundaries of style.

Beyond my love for colours and styling, one of my favourite pastimes is shopping— I enjoy curating my wardrobe with pieces that reflect my personality. Shopping isn’t just about buying clothes; it’s about the thrill of finding something that feels just right—a colour that makes my complexion glow or a silhouette that flatters perfectly. This love for fashion and exploration has shaped my understanding of how different styles and colours work on various individuals, making it easier for me to guide others in their fashion choices.

From niche independent labels to well-known homegrown brands, I love keeping up with the latest collections from our local blogshop scene. My connection to the blogshop industry runs even deeper, as I once had the opportunity to produce creative work for one of our local brands. From conceptualizing visuals to styling and art direction, I was involved in shaping the brand’s image and curating an aesthetic that resonated with its audience. Over the years, this exposure and hands-on experience has made me incredibly familiar with different cuts, fabrics, and colour palettes, helping me refine my sense of style and making it easier to guide others in choosing what flatters them best.

That said, I also understand that not everyone enjoys experimenting with fashion the way I do. Many of my friends prefer a more casual, comfort-driven approach and often turn to me when they’re unsure about what suits them. My experience in fashion retail further refined my ability to assess how different colours and styles work for various individuals. By observing customers and helping them choose pieces that suited them best, I became adept at guiding others toward choices that enhance their features and reflect their personalities. Whether it was helping someone decide between outfits or suggesting a colour they hadn’t considered, I loved providing advice that made them feel more confident.

Beyond trends, good styling comes down to balance—knowing how to play with proportions, layering, and textures to create harmony in an outfit. A structured blazer over a flowy dress adds just the right amount of contrast. Wide-leg trousers elongate the frame when paired with a fitted top. Even subtle tweaks, like rolling up sleeves or cinching the waist, can transform an entire look. Fashion is all about these details—the elements that make an outfit feel intentional rather than just worn.

This journey of self-expression through fashion is something I love sharing with others. Whether it’s helping someone refine their style or exploring new silhouettes myself, I’m constantly learning, evolving, and finding new ways to bring creative visions to life. Fashion isn’t just about clothing—it’s about confidence, personality, and the art of wearing something in a way that feels truly you.

And that’s what makes style so powerful.
